Serious Volume For Serious Projects
The big box for big jobs: gut renovations, construction and demolition debris, barn teardowns, and the kind of whole-property cleanouts that Southern Tier farmsteads are famous for. One container, one delivery, the whole mess gone.
Size: ~22' L × 8' W × 6' HHolds: ~9 pickup-truck loadsTypical weight allowance: 3–4 tons
The 30 shines on volume: bulky, comparatively light debris that would force two hauls in a smaller box. A gut remodel of one of Olean's big old houses, a pole-barn cleanout in Hinsdale, a contractor keeping one container on site for a multi-week job — that's 30-yard territory, and the single-container price beats renting a 20 twice.
What the 30 is not for is dense material. Its six-foot walls could physically hold far more concrete, shingle, or dirt than any truck can legally haul — heavy debris belongs in a 10 yard with a proper fill line. And if your job is a standard house cleanout or a single-trade remodel, the 20 yard loads easier over its lower wall and costs less. We'll always tell you which one the project actually calls for.
Most 30-yard rentals in the area run roughly $450–$650 with delivery, pickup, and the weight allowance included. It's the best per-yard value for high-volume, lighter debris — full local ranges on our prices page.
Same footprint length as the 20 (about 22 feet) but plan for the full ~60 feet of straight approach and generous overhead clearance — the truck tips the container higher on drop-off. Farm lanes and wide drives are perfect; tight village alleys deserve a quick conversation first.
Level with the top rail, never mounded over — an overfilled container can't be tarped or hauled legally, and fixing it on pickup day costs you time and money. If you're trending over, call us before you get there; a swap-out beats a standoff with physics.
Depends on pace. If debris comes in one big wave (demo week), one 30 wins. If it trickles over a month, a 20 with a scheduled swap keeps the site cleaner and the driveway freer. Tell us the timeline and we'll do the math with you — it takes two minutes.
